Corrigo is designed so that the chair can be adjusted to fit you perfectly. Combine this with good ergonomic sense and aches and pains in your neck, back, arms and shoulders will be a thing of the past.
The Seat
To spread the load of your weight when sitting, your hips should be slightly higher than your knees, with your feet flat on the floor. Corrigo’s seat ‘pan’ has a tip and sliding mechanism, so that you can tilt it to the right angle. The seat pan moves independently from the other structures in the chair, so adjusting the tilt will not change the angle of the seat back.
The seat has extra padding in anti-flatten foam in a horseshoe shape to give extra comfort to your buttocks and thighs. The foam in the middle of the seat is lower to allow for ventilation.
The Arms
Your upper arms should be by your sides, and your elbows should be bent at right angles to your body. Your arms should be supported at the elbow to prevent the weight of your arms causing strain on the back and shoulders. Corrigo’s arms are positioned to the rear of the seat pan, and can be adjusted to cater for the width of your body. Keeping your elbows on the pads while working prevents you from hunching forwards. The arms are small enough to enable the chair to be pulled close to the desk – also encouraging you to sit upright.
The Backrest
Your spine should be supported in an upright position. Designed around the spine, the narrow back of the Corrigo chair encourages you to pull your shoulders back and open up your chest when sitting. It is high enough to support the upper back, and can be adjusted up and down to give optimal support. It is contoured to support your spine in a vertical position, while maintaining the natural curves of your back. A vertical inflatable bladder in the bottom of the seat back is designed to support the pelvis and your lower back.
