RH Activ follows all your movements, so that you sit flexibly and actively, while your lower back is always supported – which is both comfortable and ergonomically correct. The secret is the Active Movement System (AMS) that creates a free-float, ergonomic pattern of movement that is unique to RH Activ. The position of the lever ensures ease of use while sitting in the chair.

RH Activ is ideally suited for today’s modern office environments. Its simple adjustments also make it suitable as a multi-user chair. The chair is available in three sizes. There is considerable scope for adding to the basic models in order to personalise the chair, so that it suits you. This model has a medium backrest and a medium seat pan.

This range can be fitted with a range of specialist options. This includes coccyx cut-out, extra foam etc. Please ask in store for details or see below for more information. Delivery times may be extended on special requirements.

RH Activ can be adapted to a number of different work environments including draughtsman’s base, reinforced seat and back, and industrial modifications such as ESD. (See Industrial Seating)

CHAIR MECHANISM - Free Float Rocking Movement

The Active Movement System (AMS) creates a free-float, ergonomic pattern of movement that is unique to RH Activ. single lever operation makes this ideal for multi-user environments where you need movement and flexibility at your finger tip.

The Active Movement System adapts to you from the moment you sit down. The movement of the backrest on free-float adapts to your body weight allowing for constant support which follows your body's movements.

What is the difference between the Activ and the Logic range?

Aside from some small differences in the dimensions, the key difference is found in the mechanism. Whilst the activ has what is more often than not called a 'synchronous' mechanism where the backrest moves independently of the seat pad in free float mode, the Logic has a fixed angle between the backrest and seat pan in free float mode. Both chairs offer excellent posture support, and both chairs offer something different.

Fabrics

GAJA and FAME Fabric are the standard UK stock fabric for the RH Chairs. The colours as seen below  for FAME and GAJA are on stock in the UK and available for delivery in one week. Comfort and Leather options are available on some models for quick delivery. Please ask for details. Digital reproductions of colours may differ slightly to the actual fabrics.

Warranty

All RH products carry a 10-year guarantee from date of delivery with the following exceptions:

RH Logic 3, RH Logic 4, RH Support, RH Session, RH Visit, RH Lounge and Relax Armrests. These have 5 Years.

RH products are tested and approved in accordance with EN-1335-1 Class B, and EN-1335-1 Class A for ESD and Cleanroom models. The RH Logic and other ranges have received the FIRA awards for “Ergonomic Excellence”. For 24 hour use the chairs carry a 5 year guarantee. 

Delivery

On UK stock colours delivery is approximately 5 to 7 working days. Non stock colours are made in the factory in Sweden and shipped in approximately 4-6 weeks. 

Certain models, such as RH Support, and ESD?Cleanroom models may not be held in stock and may take 4-6 weeks for delivery.

On delivery we can arrange a suitable time to set the chair up for you 

Set-up your chair

When ordering your chair we will ask you if you would like one of our trained staff to come and set up your chair and adjust the settings to suit you. This is the best way of making sure that you get the real benefit from the chair.

Alternatively we can call you to talk you through the adjustments over the phone. This can often help when arranging an appointment is more difficult, or when location prevents us from getting there quickly.

How to order

Please be advised that we do not have an e-commerce system. We pride ourselves on providing the very best service, and feel that this service can only be maintained if we are able to discuss the needs of the user.

When you order your chair/desk, we will ask for details of colour and fabric and other specific requirements of your order.

Most chairs are available to try for a period of two weeks (Terms & Conditions apply). Please enquire if you are interested in trying any of our products.  

*Carriage charges may be applicable on trial chairs.

To place an order or discuss your requirements with us:

 We will require the following information:

  • Delivery address and contact phone number
  • Purchase order number, if used.
  • Invoice address and contact phone number
  • The make, model and colour you would like your chair and any special requirements you may have.

Once we have discussed your requirements and you are ready to place your order, we will advise you of expected delivery time. We are able to set-up chairs on site in most locations in England. For chairs that do not require end-user set-up on site we can supply to the whole of the UK.

Expected delivery times are dependent on the chair model and fabric you choose. We fully appreciate the need for quick delivery of posture chairs when the intended user is suffering from pain. We will do everything we can to ensure delivery is speedy and efficient.

Most of the popular models are available in only one week. We aim to deliver between 1 and 6 weeks on every model. For information of specific models, please see product pages.

Prices: All prices shown are RRP valid until the end of December 2011. Some prices may be subject to discounts for corporate or government funded enquiries. Bulk orders will be subject to a discount dependent on quantity. Prices may be subject to change at short notice.

Delivery Charges:

Chairs: £17.50 + vat per chair Discount available for bulk orders.

Desk delivery: £25 + vat for orders under £1000. Please enquire for a quote for on-site assembly.

Accessories: Minimum delivery charges on Accessories £12.95 + VAT.
