Seat Height Information
No matter what worksurface you are working from, it is important that your sitting height allows you to maintain a neutral relaxed posture.
While most people will find that the 'standard' or 'medium' height gas lifts will be suitable for standard height office desks, if you are particularly tall or working at a high workstation you may need a higher seat height. Or, if you have the luxury of being able to lower your desk, a low gas stem may better suit your posture.
Here are a few posture tips to take into consideration when choosing the correct sitting height:
If you are working with a computer keyboard, your forearms should be parallel to the floor/desk with your shoulders relaxed:

Raise or lower your current chair so that you are sitting with relaxed shoulders.
Once you are sitting at this height, if your feet are not firmly on the floor, a footrest or other posture aid may be required.
Your feet need to be supported without raising your knees above the hips.
When you are sat at this height, measure the height of the seat you are currently using, and choose a seat height within that range.

If you find that the height of your current desk does not allow you to sit with the shoulders relaxed, feet supported and knees lower than the hips, your worksurface may need to be raised or lowered accordingly, to allow you sit at a height which opens your hip angle. This will help to encourage a neutral upper body posture.

Your desk can be raised with simple desk raisers to a maximum of 3” VIEW DESK RAISERS.
If your worksurface needs raising higher than this, or indeed you would prefer to sit at a lower than 'standard' desk (usually 72cm), then there are range of height adjustable desks which can offer you both an optimal sitting height and the option to stand and work. Once you are sitting in an optimal posture, the rest of your environment should be adjusted to fit you e.g your screen height, distance and other materials.

A PEDIATRIC MODULE CHAIR – Many children with functional disabilities can sit comfortably at a table without extensive support, but they do need a chair with special features. Among others, it must be possible to tilt the seat easily, while at the same time providing stable support for the back and feet.

REAL 9300/9400 EL PLUS for children, is a modular chair where the child's needs dictate design.

Easy to adjust: A REAL 9000 PLUS/EL with PLUS base enables children with functional disabilities to sit actively at a desk or a table. The height of the seat can easily be adjusted for various table heights, and the brake is operated either by hand or foot. This means that the chair remains securely in the place you want it to be but can easily be moved if required.

The chair also must be easy to adapt for the user, which is why it has a modular structure. It can be augmented as the child grows.

The small, versatile PLUS-base makes movement of the chair easy, in narrow spaces as well. The PLUS-base is combined with the new armrest.

ErgoMedic PLUS – To further increase sitting comfort, Mercado Medic has developed the seat system ERGOMEDIC PLUS. It’s very suitable for children with sitting positioning difficulties. The system consists of four interacting parts: seat, back, armrest and optional neck support. The seat has the right form and softness to ensure optimal stability and comfort.

The lower part of the high backrest is shaped to enable the child to sit with pelvic support even when tilted backwards. The high backrest is also available with extra side wedges for extra comfort and positioning.

To be able to adjust the chair in an effortless way, REAL 9000 PLUS for children is equipped with very accessible and ergonomic controls. The controls are marked with symbols for each purpose of use.

New mechanism: The new reinforced mechanism for seat angle adjustment has an extended interval (+15/-23˚) and it is adjustable in three varied positions. This option suits children with extra ordinary needs. With a single grip you can change between the positions. You also have the freedom of choice to choose if the armrests should accompany the seat angle or not.
